Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 11 April 1989. Grayson talks of his early life in Queens, New York, his education, and his courtship and marriage. He discusses his religious experiences, his conversion to the Mormon Church, and his acceptance by Mormons.
